Remodeling Magazine has come out again with the cost vs value assessment of many home project based on your geographical area.  Despite home prices dropping in many cities, remodeling projects are holding there value.

National averages tell us replacement costs that boost curb appeal include siding, windows, and decks.

Specifically in the Madison, WI you can recoup the following %

Attic-to-Bedroom remodel 69.9% of cost

Kitchen remodel 76.3%

Bathroom remodel 62.1%

Basement remodel 58.2%

Siding replacement will get you most bang for the buck at 79.3% recouped cost.
